International Mavrud Day, October

The day celebrates Bulgarian wine and is named after one of the most valued and old Bulgarian varieties. The initiative aims to create an occasion for serious interest in Bulgarian viticulture and winemaking, to highlight the remarkable harmony between millennial traditions, innovative technologies, quality and stylistic diversity of the wines produced in Bulgaria.

4X4 South Sakar Wine Fest

Close and like-minded, 9 small wineries, together with the regional enoteca, join forces to make Sakar recognizable and attractive to wine tourists. The proximity of the wineries, in some cases even just meters away from each other, facilitates the organization of a long weekend of wine touring and fully embracing the diversity of the region. The colorful and unique 4X4 festivals (four festivals in four seasons) present feasts for the senses, shared emotions with exquisite dishes, and the sweet stories of Sakar winemakers...

The Augustiada festival of wine and cultural heritage – Stara Zagora

The festival is named after Augusta Traiana — one of the ancient names of Stara Zagora. An impressive part of the legacy of this period are the floor mosaics that decorated private homes and public buildings. Among them, the “Dionysian Procession” mosaic stands out with its magnificent colors — a unique work of an ancient master builder in praise of the God of wine and joy, testimony to the preserved traditions associated with this drink since ancient times.
