Troyan – one of the town emblems is the Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery in Troyan where thousands of people come annually to touch the wonder-making icon of Sveta Bogoroditsa Troeruchitsa. The authentic wall paintings in the temple are painted in the middle of the 19 century by the famous Revival master Zachariy Zograf. The town also has a Museum of the Folklore Artistic Crafts and Applied Arts.
