They are natural rock bridges that had been sculptured by the forces of nature for thousands of years. Wild geranium and Orpheus flower grow on the rocks around both bridges.

It is a deep ravine along the Trigradska River. The view of magnificent and vertical rocks is impressive. Its total length is 7 km but the actual gorge is 2-3 km long.

The Buynovska River has carved the longest picturesque gorge in Bulgaria (about 10 km). It is extremely beautiful, but it is also very narrow — at times its vertical banks almost touch.

The waterfalls are attractive natural creations in the Rhodopes, which can be reached through well-marked trails. The best time to visit them is in the spring and summer when the water is the highest.

A panoramic view opens up from Snezhanka Mount and the Orpheus' Rocks, which make you see why the Rhodopes are such an attractive mountain!

There is a stunning view to the beautiful elevations of the Western Rhodopes, covered with venerable forests and the sparkling waters of the Vacha Dam hiding among them.

The biggest karst spring in Bulgaria with constant temperature of 8 degrees and a venerable black pine forest surrounding it.

The "Emerald eyes" of the Rhodopes are located in terraces above Smolyan and they are accessible by car unlike the seven Chairski lakes, which can be reached by foot or with a SUV from the villages of Mugla or Trigrad. During the greater part of the year, they are preferred places for recreation and visit of the sights located nearby.

The nine dams in the Rhodopes are among the most picturesque places to visit in Bulgaria. Along with the opportunities they provide for fishing, eco tourism, cycling, kayak and photo safari, there are natural and historical sights located near each of them.

The place is quiet and calm maybe due to the venerable oak through the roots of which the drops setting the beginning of the longest Rhodopean river pass.

Adventures in caves are always exciting. For thousands of years the nature in them had sculptured karst formations, bizarre shapes in mysterious darkness……..

Several distinct rock formations, resembling a chaplet, raise high to the north of the town. In the past, they have offered natural protection for the local population: Turluka, Tiklarnika, Chernoka. Nowadays they are an attractive picnic spot for the Smolyan locals and their guests since they can easily be reached from the road between Pamporovo and Smolyan.

One of the Sanctuaries is located on a mount of about 1400 m altitude, visible from everywhere, located on the road from Aegea to the interior of Thrace. It is no coincidence that the famous Emporium Pistiros is only 30 km away, which was also related with the trade between the Aegean population and the interior of Thrace. Both are still being researched.

The Rhodopean Karst Museum in the town of Chepelare is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria and it is the only museum of caves in South-Eastern Europe.

Krastova Gora is one of the major Orthodox Bulgarian holy places. The locality is very popular since the mid 1990s when a road to the mount was built along with a new church called Pokrov na Presveta Bogoroditsa. According to the legend, a part of the cross on which Jesus Christ had been crucified was buried there! 

The Orlovi Skali rock complex is the most significant in size megalithic monument with carved niches in the Ardino municipality.

Bratsigovo Ethnographic Complex: Popov's, Kanev's, Petleshkov's houses

The buildiers from Bratsigovo are famous for their stone-processing skills. The famous Meshtrovski dictionary is also kept here. It is a glossary of the builders consisting of about 700 word codes for the devices and elements used in their activity. They used it to avoid disclosing the secrecy of the craft.

The construction of the Agushevi resting places took about 20 years and it finished in 1834. The complex is the only preserved model of a late feudal castle in Bulgaria. The complex is unique with its 220 windows, 86 doors and 24 chimneys.

It is located on a high rocky mount at an altitude of 1215 m with excellent visibility in all directions, which makes its location a strategic one along the Cherna River valley.

It is a big museum in the open, which shows us how the town looked like more than 100 years ago.

The ancient holy town Perperikon raises high on a bare rock mount. Legends say that during the most ancient times the mount was called "the stone home of the Sun God".
