Chepelare

Chepelare is a popular mountain resort in Bulgaria, offering ski vacations below the ski slopes of the Mechi Chal Mount. It is famous as the winter Olympic capital of Bulgaria. The town has decades-long traditions in the sport and in the ski and snowboard  manufacturing and it is the birthplace of the only ever Bulgarian winter Olympic champion — the biathlonist Ekaterina Dafovska who won a gold medal in Nagano, 1998. 

Smolyan

The town has picturesque location along both banks of Cherna River and more of the residential buildings are perched in tiers on its Northern slopes. It is the longest town in Bulgaria — 16 km.

Madan

The Rodopski Crystal crystal hall is one of the biggest sights of the Rhodopean town of Madan. More than 600 exhibits impress with their unique shapes and glares.

Madzharovo

The region of Madzharovo is a famous bird watching spot attracting mainly foreign tourists. The tourists can also have pedestrian walks, SUV safaris, go fishing, biking and kayaking in Arda River. 

Lucky

The town is located in the picturesque gorges of the rivers Manastirska, Dryanovska, Yugovska, Luckinska. Krastova gora is known as the Rhodopean Mount Athos, famous with the Sveta Troitsa monastery complex, the Pokrov Na Presveta Bogoroditsa church and 12 Apostles complex consisting of 12 chapels.

Ivaylovgrad

The region of Ivaylovgrad is rich in cultural and historical sights, many of which date back to the Roman age. The proximity to two borders, with Greece and Turkey, offers interesting cross-border tourist products.

Zlatograd

Zlatograd is a charming small town, usually known as the town located furthest south in Bulgaria. Known for its ethnographic areal complex where different craft workshops function among the Rhodopean architectural environment preserved from the past centuries.

Devin

Devin is an attractive all-year-round destination for balneological and SPA tourism as well as for alternative tourism.

Velingrad

A well-known and preferred all-year-round tourist destination, which is among the leading SPA destinations in Central and East Europe. Brand: Spa capital of the Balkans.

Banite

As in all mountain places, the nature here is also combined with many historical monuments, which make the town a unique place.

The region has good conditions for almost all types of alternative tourism: cultural and historical, pedestrian, fishing tourism.
