Over 300 cultural monuments, mounds, settlements, tombs, statuettes, columns have been discovered in Maritsa municipality. They reveal a rich history from the earliest antiquity - from the time of the Thracians, through the era of Roman rule to the present day. The calendar of cultural events shows the rich cultural life, full of many celebrations and performances with various amateur art activities.
Cultural Information Maltepe Complex is located next to the archaeological excavations of the same-named mound. The pottery workshop, equipped with 30 workplaces, is of greatest interest. It is here that children and adults have the opportunity to learn about the entire process of creating a ceramic form, from modelling the clay to firing the object in the pottery kiln, to the fine and decorative arts on ceramics, combining fun with learning. Hands-on ancient craft activities develop creative skills and active participants in the educational process.
