The Katunite route passes between the rivers Kameshtitsa and Malka Reka. You will be able to enjoy part of the majesty of Buzludzha, and the end point will be the Katunite rocky heights (1284 m above sea level). This trail is the most difficult and it takes about 3 hours. A beautiful beech forest takes you to the Ashka plain, near the Visoka Mogila peak, and when you reach the white stones, you climb to the Katunite to the east. There is a picturesque panoramic view in all directions. You will have a bird's eye view of the Rose Valley, Stara Planina, Sredna Gora, the peaks Balgarka and Sarayar. If you choose to take the lower section, you will see the Bulgaria Hut, which leads to the Kordana fountain, where you will enjoy the clear, flowing, icy water. After reaching the shelter of the Kran Hunters, you have to cross the Malkata Reka and with a slight climb you will reach your end point: Katunite.
