The celebration begins with the "Rosober (en: Picking of rose blossom)" ritual in the rose gardens near the town – an authentic dance from the past, with the participation of amateur folk groups from the Municipality of Karlovo. Cheerful melodies of a bagpipe orchestra sound. Young women and men in folk costumes demonstrate the harvesting of the rose blossom. Guests are greeted with ritual breads and a bouquet of roses and geraniums. Kuker dances bring excitement for everyone.
