Ivan Vazov gave his consent for the community centre newly created in 1904 in the town of Hisarya to bear his name. The first autographed books donated by him marked the beginning of the library collection. The community board maintained a constant relationship with the writer who several times donated autographed books and books by other authors to the library. From that time, an original metal seal with the image of Ivan Vazov (the first seal of the Hisarya Community Center) has been preserved.
