The national Fifteen Tulips competition with international participation, the Balkan folklore championship "Eurofolk – Live Water", the April Epic Sindzhirlii re-enactment of the April Uprising of 1876 with authentic costumes, the Theatre Festival of amateur ensembles from all over the country, the Bulgarian Haydut Gencho fair, Dzhumalov's Day, Melody of the Water are held annually, and this year a new musical event that supports the creation of new Bulgarian popular songs started, as well as a culinary event called "The Festival of Babek" after a recipe from Staro Zhelezare in the House of Traditions in the village.
