The young wine festival “Defile of young wine” has taken place on the third weekend of November since 2009. Every year, Plovdiv celebrates young Bulgarian wine with lavish celebrations. Renown as one of the most significant tourist events, the festival takes an important spot in the event calendar of Plovdiv, and is also part of the National Tourist Calendar.
During the festival, the beautiful cobbled streets of the Old Town in Plovdiv are filled with the fragrance of traditional wine varieties and tempting dishes. The intoxicating combination of the beauty of the unique houses from the National Revival period and the aromatic wines makes us forget the ordinary weekdays and turns the moment into a true feast of the senses. The rich accompanying program in the days before and during the festival offers many entertaining and educational activities.
Today, the celebration gives the Plovdiv locals and its guests from over 50 countries the opportunity to feel the history and culture of ancient Plovdiv, having tastes from all over Bulgaria.
