Thracian cult complex in the locality of Mishkova Niva, near the town of Мalko Tarnovo

Located on the southeastern slope of Golyamo Gradishte Mount (altitude 710 m), about 3 km southwest of M. Tarnovo. The complex includes a domed tomb-sanctuary, the remains of a fortified building (Villa Rustika - the dwelling of the temple attendants), a mound necropolis, an ancient waterworks, a mine, and the ruins of a fortress, which is located on the peak itself. The cheron of Mishkova Niva locality is one of the last sites in Bulgaria where relics of the great megalithic culture are visible. In 1986, it was declared an archaeological monument of national importance.

Deultum – Debelt National Archaeological Reserve with a museum complex

After the conquest of the Southern Black Sea Coast by the Roman commander Lucius in 72 BC, the Emperor Vespasian founded east of the Thracian settlement of Develt or Debelt the colony of Deultum. Before Deultum was founded, there was an ancient Thracian settlement on its site, before the beginning of the new era. In the 70s of the 1st century, under the rule of the Roman Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasian, veterans of the VIII Augustus Legion settled there. Deultum was the only colony of free Roman citizens on the territory of today's Bulgarian lands.

The Antique Dome Tomb, Pomorie

The unique tomb is located under a mound, 5 km west of Pomorie. The access to the tomb is easy and convenient for tourists. It dates back to the 2nd - 4th century AD. It is believed to have served as a cheron (mausoleum) of a wealthy Anchialan family, where religious pagan rituals were performed. It was built in the Roman era. The tomb consists of a corridor (dromos) 22 m long and a circular chamber 11.60 m in diameter and 5.50 m high. It was built of stone and brick.
