Yogurt Fair

The Yogurt Fair and the accompanying Festival of Folk Traditions and Artistic Crafts is held annually at the height of summer in the city of Razgrad. The festival programme includes a parade through the city centre. Representatives of Razgrad's sister cities and enthusiasts from other countries take part in the festival. A traditional exhibition of artistic crafts is also held. 

Danube on Fire Festival

The Danube on Fire Festival is one of the biggest summer events along the Danube in Bulgaria. It celebrates a week on the river, during which a wide variety of cultural and sport events take place. On the last day, a traditional "Celebration on the River" is held, including numerous competitions with fishing boats, swimming across the Danube and a culinary competition for the most delicious fish soup. The festive days end with rock concerts and a Danube on Fire Show featuring lights and fire by the river bank.

Budin Medieval Festival

The festival was first organised in 2012 and each year's edition has a different theme related to the recreation of the ancient and medieval atmosphere in Baba Vida Fortress. Visitors can see reenactments of martial arts, medieval music, armaments and clothing, tasting of medieval cuisine, religious utensils, among other things.

Eagle on the Danube Ancient Heritage Festival

The festival was held for the first time in 2008, thanks to the idea and initiative of the historical reenactment groups First Italian Legion and I Cohors Thrachum CR at the Tourism Council — Svishtov. The event recreates the ancient history of the Bulgarian lands by the Danube — lifestyle, culture and military clashes between imperial Rome and the tribes and peoples inhabiting vast territories (Thracians, Dacians, Goths). The festival is attended by reenactors from Bulgaria and other European countries. The festival's programme also offers a scientific section. 

Opera of the Peaks – Belogradchik Rocks Summer Festival

The Opera of the Peaks Festival is held annually by the Sofia Opera and Ballet and presents the natural phenomenon of the Belogradchik Rocks as a natural backdrop for classical works of the opera and ballet art. Guests of the event can enjoy the unusual combination of the respectable beauty of nature and the sophistication of the performances included in the programme under the open sky. 

Weekend Tourism Exhibition and Festival of Tourist Entertainment and Animation

The Weekend Tourism Exhibition and the accompanying Festival of Tourist Entertainment and Animation is held every year in Ruse. This is one of the largest and most significant tourist events in Bulgaria's Danube region with over 270 participants. The programme includes demonstrations, presentations, tourist attractions, food and wine degustations, as well as an exhibition of artistic crafts and handicrafts. 

March Music Days International Festival

March Music Days is the symbol of cultural life in Ruse, one of the oldest and most renowned festival scenes in Bulgaria. It was established more than 60 years ago (in 1961) and over the years it has welcomed numerous artists from the world and European music scene. The festival has been awarded the prestigious international European Festival Label of the European Commission and EFA's Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe for 2020 and 2021. Since 2017, the artistic consultant of the festival is the Ruse-born and world-renowned violinist Svetlin Rusev.
