The idea originated in 2019 as an alliance between wineries to jointly promote Northeast Bulgaria as an attractive destination for wine tourism. Initially, there were three participating winaries, in 2020 they became nine, and in 2021-2022 as many as seven wineries joined in with their own wine lines.
