Lovech

Lovech is one of the oldest towns in Bulgaria. In the caves near Lovech, Tabashka and Vasil Levski, remnants of the Old Stone, New Stone, Bronze and Iron age have been found. There is also plenty of evidence for the life of the first Lovech citizens – the Thracians, during the 4th – 3rd century BC. One of the most popular places in the area is the Kakrina caravansary where the Apostle of Freedom, Vasil Levski, had been arrested.
